Welcome to Bandolier
This month Bandolier updates evidence about fibromyalgia and neuropathic pain, building on a number of recent, and some not so recent, systematic reviews. Fibromyalgia in particular is one of those topics that raises all sorts of hackles - so if you don't like a particular message, read the original papers from which our synopses are taken.
Bandolier is also continuing to build a risk library. This is intended to become a selection of information on different types of risk, like occupational, travel, sport, and particularly lifestyle risk. It will also look at risks of medical interventions. With time, therefore, there should be information to compare and contrast the risk of unhealthy lifestyle with that of taking a tablet. This month the unhealthy lifestyle risk is examined closely. The message it delivers is both good and bad - depending on which end of the healthy living spectrum you view it.
The photograph this month is of Perth, Australia. A lovely city.
